Terms of Service

Version 2026-09-30. Questions: contact us.

Dumpster Helpers is in early access. These terms will be finalized with legal review before general launch, and we’ll post any changes here.

1. What Dumpster Helpers Is

Dumpster Helpers (“we,” “us”) runs an online marketplace that connects people who have rented a dumpster (“you” or “customers”) with independent helpers and businesses (“helpers”) who load it. We don’t perform the loading work, rent or haul dumpsters, or dispose of waste. Helpers are independent; they are not our employees or agents, and they decide whether to accept a job and how to do it. Your agreement for the loading work is between you and your helper.

2. Your Account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract to use Dumpster Helpers. Keep your sign-in secure and your information accurate. You’re responsible for activity on your account.

3. Booking and Payment

  • Each helper sets an hourly rate for the whole crew and a minimum number of hours. You see these before you send a request.
  • When a helper accepts, you pay through the site with Stripe. We hold the payment until you confirm the job is done, then release it to the helper. The price shown is the price for the labor; we don’t add a booking fee to it.
  • Your dumpster rental, disposal fees and any permits are separate and are your responsibility.
  • If more hours are needed than you booked, agree on them with your helper before the extra work starts.
  • Tips are optional, and 100% goes to the helper.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

Canceling before you pay is free. After you pay, canceling before the day of your job gets a full refund. If you cancel on the day of the job, one crew-hour is kept as a late fee for the helper and the rest is refunded. If a helper cancels a paid job, you get a full refund. Details are in our Marketplace Policies.

5. Helper Levels and Insurance

Each listing shows a level. Insured businesses keep general liability insurance on file. Individual helpers do not carry liability insurance, and you’re asked to confirm you understand this before booking one. We verify each helper’s identity through Stripe and ask every helper to attest to our conduct standard, and background-checked helpers are marked. These checks reduce risk but don’t guarantee a helper’s conduct or the quality of the work.

6. Your Responsibilities

  • Only ask helpers to remove items you have the right to dispose of.
  • Keep hazardous materials, chemicals, liquids, asbestos and anything your dumpster company prohibits out of the job.
  • Provide safe access to the work area and the dumpster, and tell your helper about stairs, heavy items, pets and other hazards.
  • Follow your dumpster company’s rules, including weight limits and accepted materials.

7. Problems With a Job

If something goes wrong, use Report a Problem before you confirm the job is done; the payment stays on hold while we review it. We may release, partly refund or fully refund a held payment based on the information both sides provide. For property damage, contact the helper first; insured businesses may refer the claim to their insurer. Because we aren’t a party to the work, we aren’t responsible for a helper’s actions, but we will help you reach the helper and may remove helpers who don’t meet our standards.

8. Reviews and Content

You may review a helper after a completed job. Reviews must be honest and about your own experience. We may remove reviews that are abusive, contain personal information, are about a different business or are spam; we don’t remove reviews because they’re negative.

9. Keeping Bookings on Dumpster Helpers

Book and pay through the site. Payments made outside Dumpster Helpers aren’t covered by our payment hold, refunds or problem reporting.

10. Disclaimers

The marketplace is provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties about helpers’ work, availability and listings, and about uninterrupted or error-free operation of the site.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of helpers or dumpster companies, and our total liability for any claim relating to the marketplace is limited to the greater of the amount you paid through Dumpster Helpers for the job involved or $100. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

12. Disputes With Us

Please contact us first; most problems can be solved quickly. If we can’t resolve a dispute informally within 30 days, either of us may bring it in small claims court, or otherwise it will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You and we each give up the right to a jury trial and to bring or join a class action. You may opt out of this arbitration section by emailing us within 30 days of first accepting these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable federal law.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to a booking is the one you accepted when you sent the request; we’ll ask you to accept updated terms for new requests.
