Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to rent the dumpster myself?
Yes. Rent from any local dumpster company and have it dropped where you want it. Crews on Dumpster Helpers handle the carrying and loading; the rental company hauls it away and handles disposal.
How much does a crew cost?
Each crew sets its own hourly rate, and you can see the rate, crew size, level and reviews before you book. The crew sends an itemized quote first, and you only pay once you accept it.
Do I have to be there during the job?
No, as long as the crew can reach the items and the dumpster. Message the crew with gate codes, lockbox details or other access notes after you book, and stay reachable by phone. If the crew arrives and can’t get in after waiting an hour, it can count as a no-show and part of the payment is kept.
Are the crews insured?
It depends on the listing’s level. Insured businesses keep general liability insurance on file, and the listing hides automatically if it expires. Individual Helpers aren’t insured, and you confirm that before booking one.
When does the crew get paid?
You pay through the site when you book, and we hold the payment. It goes to the crew only after you confirm the job is done. If something’s wrong, report a problem and the payment stays on hold while we review it.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes, for free, any time before the crew marks that they’re on the way. After that the booking can’t be cancelled, unless the crew is running well past their arrival time.
What won’t crews do?
Crews carry and load. They don’t do demolition, haul or dispose of anything, handle hazardous waste, or disconnect gas, water or power.
Do you have crews in my area?
